Folk Session in Action!

Don't miss the incredible Folk Club tomorrow night at 7pm. Join local and visiting musicians for a night filled with live music, fun and banter! The music can range from traditional Irish/Scottish folk all the way to some modern folk and country! There is something for everyone at folk club!

All are welcome to join us and enjoy the amazing atmosphere folk night beholds. Live improvisation of classic traditional Irish/Scottish tunes with musicians of all ages and skills. Come along and join in or just stop by for a listen, either way we can't wait to welcome you!

The Vault bar is there to provide a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments for those attending! With a focus on supporting produce from Dumfries & Galloway, and more generally from across Scotland, you'll get a real Galloway, Scottish, experience during your visit. Draught beers from the fantastic Five Kingdoms Brewery at nearby Isle of Whithorn, plus the superb Hills & Harbour, Galloway Gin and 24/7 vodka from just up the road in Newton Stewart from the popular Crafty Distillery;  a 'must visit' when in Newton Stewart. There's the fabulous Sky Garden gin from Dark Art Distillery in nearby Kirkcudbright, gins and vodkas from Solway Spirits in Annan and bottled beers from Borderlands Brewery in Langholm.  Not forgetting the outstanding, delicious, Bladnoch single malt whiskys from Bladnoch Distillery, another fantastic place to visit when in the region.

Autumn Trad Festival 2025 update

Despite best efforts to promote this year's Autumn Trad Festival - an event that champions young people in traditional music and which was due to celebrate its 5th annual event this year - a lack of funding and poor ticket sales may see the event cancelled.

Over 16th-18th May, musicians and music lovers will head to The Vault Arts Centre for a weekend of concerts, workshops and jam sessions featuring some of the very best bluegrass/Americana/old-time performing artists from Scotland, Ireland, England, Canada and the USA; and what a programme it is!
