RURA perform on Saturday 11th July 2026
Multi award winning Scottish folk band RURA and new kids on the block KICK have just been confirmed as performing at this year's Summer Trad Festival over the 10th-12th July 2026. WOW! There's still time to save BIG with a Weekend Pass, but you'll have hurry as that offer expires at 6pm!
RURA mark their 15th anniversary in 2025. Fusing fiery, cinematic instrumentals with deep traditions, their sound—anchored by fiddle, pipes, flute, guitar, keys, and bodhrán—is both rugged and refined. The multi award-winning quartet have toured across 20+ countries, from Europe to Australasia, and performed for millions on BBC1’s Hogmanay Live.
Following their acclaimed 2023 album Dusk Moon, and collaborations with folk greats, RURA’s emotive live shows continue to wow audiences at global festivals and venues, including selling out Glasgow’s legendary Barrowland Ballroom at Celtic Connections 2024.
KICK are a trad and folk band based in Glasgow, made up of Kisna Panesar, Ciaran Crumlish, and Isaac Baptist. Rooted in Scottish and Irish traditional music, the band bring together fiddle, concertina, and guitar to create warm, energetic sets shaped by both tradition and contemporary folk influences.
Playing together through events connected with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Celtic Connections, KICK have developed a natural and collaborative sound that moves easily between lively tunes, quieter moments, and modern arrangements while staying connected to the heart of trad music.
