The Trad Music Trust Band performing @TradFestival

We're back on the road with the Play For The Festival Tour in May and June, performing live to raise funds for Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival and Trad Music Trust. Catch us at Portpatrick this Fri 3rd May, Newton Stewart on 24th May and Portpatrick again on 1st June.

The Bruce Hotel, Newton Stewart - Friday 24th May from 8pm
Harbour House Hotel, Portpatrick - Saturday 1st June 2019 from 9pm

If you're a venue or promoter in Dumfries & Galloway, you can access the following line-up's, at the following rates, for an afternoon or evening's entertainment. The price includes a 1.5 hour peformance (2 x 45mins), PA hire and travel/expenses.

All fees go directly to the Trad Music Trust to support the projects they run including the annual Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival and The Vault Arts Centre.

We are delighted to have secured outstanding fiddle player and composer Gráinne Brady for this year's Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival. Gráinne will perform on Saturday 11th July at the McMillan Hall along with Ulaid. It's going to be some night!

Sarah Markey confirmed for festival

Chuffed to bits to have secured the fabulous talent that is flute player Sarah Markey for this July's 7th annual Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival. Sarah will be performing with her band on opening night, Friday 10th July 2020, at the McMillan Hall, Newton Stewart.

6th annual music festival

The 6th annual Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival will take place over 12th-14th July 2019 and, after another outstanding programme of events in 2018 which saw us hosting Scottish Highland Dancing competitions and, as ever, some of the biggest names in traditional music, it looks set to be another packed programme and is really living up to it's reputation as one of the best rural arts festivals in Dumfries & Galloway.
